Bob Hinz is a 2nd generation homebuilder. Framing and plumbing and wiring has been dinner conversation and a part of everyday life for as long as he can remember. As an adult Hinz broadened his horizons, working in sales and management and earning an MBA before returning to his home-building roots. Hinz holds a Denver GC license.

He founded HomeWrights in 2002 with the notion that his experience and industry contacts could add value for people who wanted to manage their own custom home construction.

The theory has proven true, as Hinz expertise has helped scores of owner-builders navigate the construction process, anticipating pitfalls and making recommendations which have saved his clients tens of thousands of dollars.

Mary Knowles is committed to the success of each and every client that partners with HomeWrights.

She has developed many of the systems that support HomeWrights clients in managing contractor agreements, anticipating project needs, and tracking construction budgets. Her efforts ensure that clients enjoy the convenience of easy access to pre-screened, competent contractors and first rate suppliers.

As a former Director of human resources and a previous Executive Director of the YMCA, Knowles specializes in getting people the information they need to start working together. A Master’s Degree in management has also helped Knowles assist clients with day to day construction management duties, right up to their move-in date.
