"HomeWrights gave us the confidence that we could do this"
Joe and Pat built their log home paradise on a parcel of mountain property in southern Colorado near Canon City. Managing the process from 150 miles away in Denver, they created a carefully thought-out weekend retreat for their family. Custom features include a huge wraparound deck and a guest bathroom with rustic theme and fixtures.
"We had great mentors - Bob and Mary at HomeWrights helped
us set a reasonable budget, took us through the entire maze
from beginning to end, and answered our many questions along the way"
Briana and Nat built their 1,800-sq. ft. home in Elizabeth, Colorado, the "country home" they had long envisioned with space for chickens, goats, a garden, and lots of open space for the two kids. With family help and weekend and vacation work, they managed to beat the tightest of budgets. Their new home includes a few adaptations to meet their family needs, including a music teaching room for Nat and a great downstairs classroom and play room for home schooling the children.
"HomeWrights budgeting was a real timesaver - we didn't have to get dozens of bids to establish our construction budget. Also, they gave us credibility with the bank"
Matt and April built their luxury Denver Four Square with a gorgeous gourmet kitchen and designer touches throughout. Due to good project management, they found enough in the budget to finish out three additional bedrooms and a bath in the basement level, bringing the total livable square footage to nearly 5,000. Their new all-brick home is a Bonnie Brae standout in terms of both design and craftsmanship.
"They helped me figure out a design and a way to build so I could get as much house as possibe for the money I wanted to spend"
Barbara is buildinga 1,800-sq. ft. ranch home with a walkout basement near Bennett, Colorado. Since she is a project manager for a major communications firm, her organizational skills have played a key role in bringing the house together. Though she knew very little about houses when she started, she has become an expert on foundations, framing, and other critical steps in construction.
"We started our project with 25% equity and finished with
more than 50% equity. Not bad. It's been a bit of work, but managing the project ourselves with HomeWrights' help has definitely paid off"
John and Stephanie built a 2,700-sq. ft. southwestern-style home outside Berthoud, Colorado. Everything is built to John's very high engineering standard. Heating, cooling, insulation, and data system are state-of-the-art. Stephanie used her faux-finish painting skills to make the interior a warm and inviting place. The huge deck affords 50-mile views of the plains, and even the Denver city lights come into view.
"I personally interacted with the subs working on my home instead of trying to explain what I wanted and needed through
a third party"
Phil and Rosemary built their custom Victorian home with attention to period details in Lakewood. Phil installed the radiant heat system and tile floors, and Rosemary chose the trim and colors. The kitchen and the upstairs both look like pages out of designer books. Every touch is personal and perfect.
